The first VCIS Schoolwide Community Outreach was successfully held last November 12, 2016, in VCIS grounds!

It was a wonderful time to share God’s love and blessings with 40 guest students, ages 913, from Under Thy Wings Foundation. The whole VCIS community took part in the outreach which started with  the young ones from Grades 15 who participated by blessing the guest-students with care-packages which they packed themselves. Grades 610 students also prepared a number of activities that kept the guests entertained and happy during the event.

The Grade 9 class led an energetic and fun game to break the ice while Grade 8 students taught the young visitors how to design bags and other crafts. Stories from the Bible were shared by the Grade 10 class who distributed Bibles and other books to read back home. A sumptuous lunch with a surprise “flash mob” dance followed after Grade 6 students shared the importance of eating healthy food. As a sweet finale, the dance performance of “We Are” by Kari Jobe and “The Greatest Love of All” from the guest-students concluded the incredible experience as a way of thanking the VCIS family.

It was a heartwarming day for everyone especially for our very own students who shared the warmth of true VCIS hospitality, service, and love!
