As VCIS pursues its candidacy status in offering the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), our school leaders already flung themselves into professional development challenges to better fortified in embracing the IBDP culture.
Each year, International Baccalaureate® offers both online and face-to-face workshops and gathers educational leaders all over the world to impart more about international education and create transformative experiences the leaders can share with the students. Some of our school heads joined the IB Asia Pacific Regional Workshop held in Jakarta, Indonesia last October and took part in several workshops. For three days, they attended collaborative discussions about the Diploma Programme (DP) coordination, requirements, and subjects. The face-to-face workshops allowed them to share the best practices and personal interactions with peers, widen their views to regional and global perspectives, and infuse themselves to a high-quality, engaging, and innovative professional training.
These opportunities are causing a stir in VCIS educators, making them more aground in a global mindset and highly motivated to conceive a new generation of globally-prepared Christian servant-leaders.
