VCIS joined the rest of the country in promoting cultural awareness and passion for reading during the National Book Week 2015 from November 23 to 27. With interesting activities that mugged the hearts of our young book lovers, the weeklong book event is not to be forgotten!
VCIS invited two premier publishing houses, OMF Literature and Fully Booked, to hold open book fairs. Every booklover sneaked in at the showcase of famous books and other educational materials.
One of the event’s perks, the students enjoyed the Kindle Encounter wherein they picked up from a wide selection of E-books and read through cool Kindle devices.
Live Radio Drama and Book Signing
DZAS’ Buhay na Tinig, in cooperation with OMF Literature, performed the live radio drama of one of Jojie Wong’s books, Hudson Taylor and the Great Impossible. Also, the surprise visit and book signing of author Jojie Wong added to the exciting feels around.
Bringing home some moral lessons, the students watched Mr. Popper’s Penguins at the school library. The film did not just conclude the event, but conveyed a great mixture of family values and animal care.
