Ysabel, our new IBDP student, made the whole VCIS community proud for qualifying at the global round of The World Scholar’s Cup (Senior Division) in 2017.

Hosted by Xavier School, Ysabel joined the first regional round of The World Scholar’s Cup in Manila last July 9 and 10. Among hundreds of participants, she scooped the School Top Scholar (Senior Division) and tied into the cup’s top events: Team Debate, Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, and Scholar’s Challenge together with teammates from the Immaculate Concepcion Academy (ICA).

Founded to celebrate team learning, the World Scholar’s Cup is a prestigious and international academic competition that yearly gathers thousands of students from around the world who compete against and face teams from other schools, argue motions related to a theme in words and writing, and answer questions across multiple subjects.
