Grade 11 retreat fuels the graduating class

The Grade 11 Retreat last January 11 and 12, 2016, at Mi Terraza Resort in Antipolo City was a short but meaningful respite from the challenges of school. Inspired by the theme, “You are a Special Piece of the Puzzle,” the Victory Ortigas team fueled the retreat with great activities that focused on the uniqueness and gifts of every student and how their personal identities speak of the richness of the love, acceptance, and significance they have in God and the people around them.

Students went around three sessions: the reflective “I am what I am” session led by Ms. Lyn Abad (Victory Ortigas), followed by career talks from a college student and two professionals who gave inspiring testimonies in school and work environments, and a night of reflection led by Pastor Owie Tolentino (Victory Ortigas). A memorable and sentimental experience concluded the retreat as the students received personalized love letters and gifts from their parents.

The senior year might be a tough road to take, but the retreat became a sweet breathing space for the students to remember who they are at present and fix their eyes on God’s promise of a great future.
