A pioneering celebration this year, the Guidance Week aced it as new discoveries have been added to our students’ lives. With fun activities for all, students appreciated how God made each of them a “special piece” and how they can form a wonderful life puzzle together.
Understanding and Accepting One’s Self
Perfect to discover self-uniqueness, the Guidance Team held different homeroom sessions for each grade level. Through fun stories and role-playing games, Grades 1 to 3 students learned more about their feelings and strengths, while Grades 6 to 9 students enjoyed defining their self-concepts and appreciating others.
Being Socially Connected
Creating social ties is a fragment to growing up. Grades 4 and 5 students found ways in baring their hearts to one another through arts and writing activities. Other students got more engaged with free movie treats such as Finding Nemo, Facing the Giants, and The Blind Side that encouraged them to strengthen their relationships with family, friends, and God.
Making Wise Decisions
It is essential to teach the students how to know their own minds at their young age. The Guidance Team prepared inspirational sessions and professional talks for Grades 10 and 11 students to help them understand the importance of life choices they make and receive valuable life advices and career mentorship.
