The students had a lot of powerful takeaways during the school’s trip to the GK Enchanted Farm in Bulacan. They did not only get to experience the natural world in a different way, they also met the people who grow their food, interacted with social entrepreneurs from all around the world, and gained a deeper understanding of the rural ways of life.
Some of the students even had lunch with Gawad Kalinga founder, Mr. Tony Meloto, who complimented their group for being “mature enough to express their opinions,” and having what it takes to be change-makers. He then encouraged them to pursue their dreams and strive to make a difference in the society.
Indeed, the trip imparted lessons as bountiful as the wonder and joy of the students who came to visit!
